With over Seventy species, there is no way I and most everyone else can
identify this genus of corals down to the species level, Even
with detailed skeletal examinations, one could never be absolutely sure
of what species they have. But with this genus being very
prevelant on the reefs, a reef aquarium would be lacking if at least
one species was not kept.

Just prior to a reef wall in 15 feet of water as a fragment broken off the main colony.

Requires extremely small food particles and lots of it.

As are all members of the Acroporidae, they have no real defense
against other corals other than by simply growing faster than their
more powerfull cousins.

Fairly rapid, if fed well and provided intensive lighting.
Temperature
is maintained between 82 to 86 degrees. pH range maintains at 8.0 to 8.2. I never use any
Supplements, ever.
